Ukraine's sunflower meal exports rose 28% in October 2023/24 to 359,000 tonnes, with China taking 144,000 tonnes, the highest monthly volume in seven months. Over the first two months of the season, however, exports to China fell 47% year on year.
Stronger Ukrainian meal shipments to China add supply to the protein meal market, but competition from Russian meal and lower year-on-year volumes limit the price impact.
