The 39th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting reaffirmed the overall crude production level agreed in the previous meeting, to be kept until December 31, 2026. Members also reaffirmed the monitoring committee's mandate, which meets every two months, and set the next full ministerial meeting for November 30, 2025.
The group also tasked its secretariat with developing a capacity assessment to set 2027 production levels.
Keeping the group-wide production ceiling unchanged gives the market a clear framework, which limits the downside from supply uncertainty. The capacity mechanism sets up future production baselines, which matter for medium-term crude price expectations.
