The dollar held modest gains against the yen after reaching a 9.5-month high. The yen weakened to 155.73 per dollar, its lowest level since early February, amid Japanese fiscal policy concerns and US data.
A stronger dollar against major currencies tends to pressure US commodity export prices and raises the local-currency cost of imported feed for Japan. The effect on feed markets is modest.
