A strike at the Dagon silos in Haifa, through which most Israeli grain imports pass, has left about 330 tonnes of wheat, corn and soybeans stuck on 11 ships. The Israel Grain Importers Association warned of supply chain chaos and unloading problems at Ashdod as well.
Israel's main grain import gateway is largely shut, delaying feed grain and soymeal deliveries and raising costs for livestock feeders. The effect on global prices is minimal given the small volumes.
