Reports say the EU may add instant coffee and palm oil soap to the EUDR scope this spring and may remove leather. The changes are expected through a delegated act rather than a full reopening of the regulation.
The simplification package is due by the end of April and will also confirm the December 2026 and June 2027 timelines.
Expanded scope for palm oil products and possible leather removal would change the compliance burden for EU imports of palm oil and cattle-linked goods. The effect on feed commodity prices is limited for now.
