The JRC MARS bulletin says European winter crops remain broadly satisfactory despite severe frost in northern and eastern Europe. Abundant rain in western France, southern Europe and the western Mediterranean replenished soil moisture with localized flooding, and rains have improved cereal prospects in Morocco and northern Algeria.
Generally satisfactory EU and Maghreb crop prospects reduce import demand pressure on wheat and barley, leaving prices little support from supply concerns.
