Paraná's Department of Rural Economy (Deral) cut its second-crop corn estimate from 17.6 to 17.05 million metric tons on lower yields from dry weather in later-planted fields. Paraná accounts for about 16% of Brazil's second-crop output.

The reduction is the first meaningful crack in the bearish safrinha harvest narrative, though it does not yet change Brazil's national outlook. It supports corn prices at the margin if further state-level cuts follow.
