The U.S. Drought Monitor reported that continued dryness expanded or intensified drought across the Rockies, Great Plains, Mississippi Valley, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. Little or no precipitation fell on the High Plains, and water levels in ponds remained low.
Dry conditions in the Plains can cut winter wheat planting and early crop establishment, which mildly supports HRW wheat prices and feed-grain values.
