USDA data show the 2025 US corn crop at a record 17.021 billion bushels, up 14.3% from 2024. The record yield of 186.5 bushels per acre came on 98.788 million planted acres, the largest since 1936.
Harvested area of 91.258 million acres was the highest since 1933.
A record crop adds substantial supply to corn stocks, which is bearish for feed corn prices and cheapens corn-based feed ingredients. The size of the upward revision to acreage makes it a major market driver.
