DTN's Sept. 1 yield models put the national corn yield at 178.4 bpa, down 0.1 bpa from August, and the soybean yield at 52.3 bpa, up 0.2 bpa.
Gains in the heart of the Corn Belt offset sharp cuts in North Dakota and other northern and southern areas.
The near-unchanged national yield estimates signal limited new supply pressure, so prices are likely to see little directional move from this model update.
