Ukrainian sunflower purchase prices reached the highest level of the 2025/2026 marketing year, at 29,000-30,000 UAH/t, amid rising sunflower oil prices and a weaker hryvnia. Oil delivered to ports rose to $1,270-1,280/ton, and some southern plants remain offline due to shelling and power outages.
Russia's attack on the Dnipro oilseed plant earlier in January also affected production.
Plant outages reduce domestic crushing and meal output, supporting sunflower oil and meal prices. A restored energy and port truce could raise oil supply and ease prices.
