The EIA reported that the U.S. national average diesel price fell 1.2 cents to $3.151 a gallon in the latest week. It was the second drop in three weeks and the 15th straight week above $3 per gallon.
WTI was trading at $57.87 a barrel.
A modest decline in retail diesel reduces transport and grain handling costs for feed operations. Prices remain elevated, so fuel costs stay a meaningful input.
