Weaver Seed

Weaver Seed of Oregon provides a wide variety of seed stock for Cover Crops and Forages. We do contract for the production of Oats, Triticale, Peas, Brassica vegetables and others, and we can also help you locate other seed we do not have listed. Cover crops are fundamental, sustainable tools used to manage soil fertility, soil quality, water, weeds (unwanted plants that limit crop production potential), pests (unwanted animals, usually insects, that limit crop production potential), diseases, and diversity and wildlife, in agroecosystems. Forage is plant material (mainly plant leaves and stems) eaten by grazing livestock. Organic farming is a form of agriculture that relies on crop rotation, green manure, compost, biological pest control, and mechanical cultivation to maintain soil productivity and control pests, excluding or strictly limiting the use of synthetic fertilizers and synthetic pesticides, plant growth regulators, livestock feed additives, and genetically modified organisms. Vegetables for the table, livestock or wildlife. The nutritional content of vegetables varies considerably, though generally they contain a small proportion of protein and fat, and a relatively high proportion of vitamins, provitamins, dietary minerals, fiber and carbohydrates. Many vegetables also contain phytochemicals which may have further pro-health properties. Sprouting Seeds are all natural edible sprouts and offer both flavor and nutrients for most dishes throughout the world, and have become a staple for many worldwide diets. They are easy to grow, economical, and 1 pound of sprouting seed can usually generate about 5 pounds worth of sprouts. Wildlife Food Plots are not difficult to establish and can be done with minimal investment. A basic understanding of the soil, the wildlife species you wish to attract, and wildlife food preferences will help make your food plots successful. When done properly, food plots can provide opportunities to view wildlife or develop a healthier wildlife population. Establishing food plots can also be a great activity for a family or members of a conservation organization.
