A CFTC report says U.S. LNG exports could grow to as much as 19 Bcf/d over the next 20 years on the back of post-shale production. It warns that this growth could raise domestic gas prices and link the previously isolated North American market to global prices.
Tighter links between U.S. and global gas markets could lift domestic natural gas prices, which feed into ammonia and nitrogen fertilizer costs and ethanol and drying energy costs for feed producers.
