Mexico has imposed tariffs of 15 to 25 percent on US steel and farm products, including pork, cheese, apples, potatoes and bourbon, in retaliation for US steel and aluminum tariffs. Mexico also suspended its preferential tariff treatment for US goods and said it will challenge the US at the WTO.
Tariffs of 15 to 25 percent on US pork and other farm goods reduce US export demand for hogs and related products, a bearish signal for US hog prices and trade flows.
