Indonesian Palm Oil Board, India's Solvent Extractors Association and Solidaridad are proposing import tax cuts on Indonesian palm oil shipments to India for ISPO-certified product. ISPO said 4.11 million hectares of certified plantations produce over 11 million tonnes of crude palm oil annually.
A lower Indian import tax on Indonesian palm would boost Indonesian export competitiveness and palm demand, but this is only a proposal under discussion.
