U.S. Grains Council CEO Ryan LeGrand said at the council's annual meeting in Sacramento that he was optimistic about most export markets but frustrated by Mexican decrees and Colombian trade decisions. He highlighted new feed grain and distillers grains opportunities in Africa, Indonesia and the UK, and noted that China has agreed to import Brazilian corn.
He also reported that U.S. ethanol exports are on pace to exceed 1.5 billion gallons this marketing year.
