Beef Central reports that the US is scrutinising its beef import tariff-rate quotas after a USDA FAS report. Brazil's growing share of the Other Countries quota, which has room for only 65,000 tonnes, is drawing attention to the arrangements.
Any future change to beef TRQs could redirect import volumes, but the review is at an early stage and has no immediate price effect on feed or cattle markets.
