Platts, part of S&P Global, will amend specifications for five weekly phosphate price assessments effective July 3, 2025. Changes include defined basis locations, quantity ranges, a 5-to-30-day loading window, and a single closing value with standard high and low ranges.
Tighter benchmark definitions improve price transparency for DAP buyers but do not by themselves move phosphate prices. Feed buyers tracking DAP and phosphate costs should note the new reference points.
