Brazilian and foreign banks have raised their year-end forecasts for the real, now around R$5.82 to 5.90 per dollar, as the dollar weakens and Brazil's interest rate spread stays wide. The dollar is down about 8.5% against the real so far in 2025.
A stronger expected real lowers the local cost of imported feed ingredients and makes Brazilian dollar-priced exports less competitive. The change reflects currency sentiment rather than a physical supply shift.
