CBH locked out workers at its Kwinana grain terminal in Western Australia after a dispute over an enterprise agreement, with the lockout effective from 1 September. The move followed more than 60 notices of industrial action since mid-July and disruptions including delayed wagon unloading and shipping issues.
Disruption at Kwinana, WA's largest grain export facility, during the pre-harvest maintenance window could slow export loadings and support Australian wheat and barley export prices. The scale of the impact depends on how long the lockout lasts.
