China’s yuan rises to over two-week high on positive US-China talk, better economic data - Markets

The yuan rose to its strongest level against the dollar since January 3 after a friendly call between Trump and Xi and better-than-expected fourth-quarter GDP data. The PBOC set its midpoint at 7.1886 per dollar, much firmer than Reuters estimates.
