Danske Bank forecasts a stronger dollar over the next 6 to 12 months, driven by Fed tightening and global stagflation risks. It expects EUR/USD to fall from 1.16 to 1.10 in 12 months, with the yuan and euro under pressure.
The bank also expects the Fed to start tapering at its November meeting.
A stronger dollar is typically bearish for dollar-denominated grain and oilseed prices and weakens the purchasing power of importers using other currencies. Forecasts from a major bank can shape positioning in currency and commodity markets.
