Pacific National grain rail disruption in Victoria continues, with over 30 trains cancelled since March and about 100,000 tonnes of grain undelivered. Estimated costs are around $10 million, largely port demurrage.
The Victorian Farmers Federation called for a swift resolution to the dispute.
Continued rail stoppages restrict grain flow to ports during a record harvest, raising demurrage and logistics costs that feed into Australian grain prices and export competitiveness.
