Malaysia's 2017 biodiesel output is expected to be roughly flat with 2016 at about half a million tonnes, according to the Malaysian Biodiesel Association. Forecasts were revised down because delays have pushed back higher B10 and B7 mandates.
Without the higher blending mandates, less palm oil is absorbed domestically, leaving more supply for export and stocks. This is mildly bearish for palm oil prices.
