A Gro Intelligence preview of the September 12 USDA WASDE report says U.S. corn and soybean yields are likely to be cut. The firm notes USDA has cut corn yields in about half of September reports over the past 20 years, by an average of 2%.
Hurricane Irma and China's soybean imports are also highlighted.
A lower USDA yield estimate would tighten U.S. corn and soybean supplies, supporting feed grain and meal prices. Traders would price this ahead of the report.
