The ECB's account of its October meeting says long-term US Treasury yields rose about 35 basis points after September, and the probability of a Fed hike in December rose from 25% to nearly 90%. Euro area sovereign yields stayed largely unchanged and markets expected the APP asset purchases to continue into 2018.
Rising US yields and firmer Fed hike expectations tend to support the dollar, which can pressure dollar-denominated grain, oilseed and meal prices for importers.
