India reportedly plans to extend its methyl bromide fumigation exemption for international pulse and wheat exports by six months to the end of June. Canada has lacked an exemption since September, while the US and some European shipments lost theirs on December 31.
Restored fumigation access would ease pulse shipments from Canada to its largest market and wheat exports from the Black Sea region, supporting flows and limiting price pressure on pulses and wheat.
