Iranian officials culled 25 million poultry after fresh bird flu cases, according to ILNA. The head of the Tehran Chicken and Egg Association said 40 percent of the national flock was slaughtered, leading to a sharp drop in egg output and rising prices.
Iran is importing 50 truckloads of eggs weekly from Turkey.
The large cull cuts Iranian poultry feed demand and raises import needs for eggs, creating a modest bullish signal for Turkish poultry exports and a bearish one for Iranian feed consumption.
