Egypt's GASC amended its wheat tender terms, capping demurrage at 12 days at $12,000 a day and raising sieving fees to $3 a tonne. It also relaxed protein minimums for several origins, including Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian, French, and US wheat.
Looser protein specifications widen the pool of eligible origins and may draw more supply to Egyptian tenders, while lower demurrage costs may bring back traders who had stopped bidding, supporting wheat demand.
