Graziers in northern, central and parts of southern NSW are buying feed hand-to-mouth for sheep and cattle as pastures dwindle and hay supply tightens.
Cottonseed prices are about $50/t higher since April on strong grazier demand, while the export market is slow because Australian cottonseed is uncompetitive at current values.
