Bright outlook for Vietnamese rice exporters later this year

Vietnamese companies have won bids to supply rice to Indonesia and the Philippines, and are bidding on a 70,000-ton Korean japonica tender with results expected May 9. The Philippines' NFA plans to import 250,000 tons under a G2G/G2P tender set for May 22, and Vietnam secured a 130,000-ton deal from an earlier government-to-government tender.
