Winfield United agronomists in eight Midwest states report corn and soybean harvest well underway in late September 2018, helped by accelerated heat units that let late-planted crops catch up. Agronomists recommend seed treatments, stalk push tests, and SDS-tolerant varieties, and note dry, wet, and tar spot issues by state.
Harvest progressing ahead of schedule with mixed yields supports ample US corn and soybean supplies, which keeps feed grain prices under mild pressure.
