Farmers Weekly reports that UK feed wheat fell £1.20/t and soyameal fell £3/t during September, leaving the basic layers ration down £2/t. It says prevailing trends are bearish for wheat and soya on high global stocks, with USDA figures showing US wheat and maize stocks above expectations.
Higher-than-expected global stocks and a bearish trend point to softer feed grain and soymeal prices, which should ease ration costs for UK layer producers.
