The Market Facilitation Program (Trade Mitigation) and the Government Shutdown

The USDA's Market Facilitation Program, created to aid farmers hit by retaliatory tariffs, has had its sign-up deadline extended because of the federal government shutdown. The original January 15, 2019 deadline has been pushed back to allow more farmers to apply.
