The EIA's May Short-Term Energy Outlook left its forecast for how IMO 2020 will raise diesel prices essentially unchanged from its January projection. The forecast is based on the spread between ULSD wholesale prices and Brent.
A stable EIA view suggests no new revision to expected diesel strength from the 2020 marine fuel rule. Diesel-linked freight costs for feed haulers are therefore unlikely to shift on this report alone.
