Indonesia's rupiah was reported as one of the strongest currencies among G20 members ahead of the June 28-29, 2019 summit in Osaka. The article attributes global monetary easing by the Fed, ECB, BOJ and RBA to the US-China trade war.
Broad dollar weakness and easing global monetary policy support a stronger rupiah, which lowers the local cost of imported feed commodities.
