The won rallied sharply against the dollar on June 20, 2019, closing at 1,162.10 per dollar, up 14 won from the prior session. The move followed growing expectations of a US rate cut the next month.
The move reflects a broad dollar weakening after the dovish Fed signal, which tends to support dollar-priced commodities like grains and soybean meal.
