Three Fed officials dissented in the September vote, with two preferring no cut and one wanting a larger 50-basis-point cut. The decision lowered the fed funds range to 1.75% to 2%, the first time in three years three voting members dissented.
The split vote signals uncertainty about further easing, which can support the dollar and weigh on dollar-priced commodities. The direct effect on feed prices is limited.
