The Indonesian Palm Oil Association (Gapki) expects Indonesia to use 8.3 million tonnes of palm oil for domestic biodiesel in 2020 under the mandatory B30 programme. This could leave less palm oil available for export.
Gapki also expects favourable weather to lift output above last year's record of 51.8 million tonnes.
Diversion of palm into biodiesel tightens exportable supply, which is bullish for palm oil prices and supports competing vegetable oil values.
