Currencies of Latin American oil exporters were hit, with Mexico's peso having its worst day in 3.5 years and Colombia's peso hitting a record low.
Brazil's Bovespa fell 10% and triggered a trading halt.
The oil collapse weakens export-linked currencies and pressures the cost of energy and diesel for feed logistics. Lower crude also reduces biofuel demand for vegetable oils, which supports lower prices across the feed complex.
