African swine fever has been confirmed at Oke Aro farm, Nigeria's largest pig co-operative in the south-west, with about 300,000 pigs reported killed. The farm supplies a large regional market.
The loss is significant for West African pork supply, but the market is small and the effect on global feed and hog prices is limited.
