The American Farm Bureau Federation released more than 60 recommendations for the 2023 Farm Bill, including higher commodity reference prices, milk check transparency and conservation funding. The board approved the priorities unanimously, with final approval set for a delegate vote in January 2023.
Higher reference prices would raise the safety net for corn, soybean and other crops, but the change depends on Congress and is not an immediate price driver.
