Post-harvest support seen as key in taming inflation

Philippine lawmaker Jose Maria Clemente Salceda said adequate post-harvest support would help ease food inflation, which rose to 3.4% in February from 2.8% in January, with food inflation accelerating to 4.8%. Post-harvest losses are estimated at up to 15% of volume, and an industry group says milling recovery rates of 60-65% could rise to 70-80%.
