Brazilian soy trade groups ABIOVE and APROSOJA say their members are preparing for the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The EU is Brazil's second-largest soy and derivative market after China, at 14% of exports in 2022.
EUDR compliance requirements from December 30 could segregate or delay Brazilian soy and meal flows to Europe, adding cost and potentially widening premiums for compliant origin.
