US natural gas producers plan to raise output in 2025 after a year of production cuts. Output is expected to fall in 2024 for the first time since 2020, and spot prices are forecast to rise more than 40% in 2025 as LNG exports climb about 14%.
Higher US gas prices raise the cost of nitrogen fertilizer and energy-intensive feed processing, and rising LNG demand tightens the domestic balance. The outlook points to firmer energy costs for feed buyers next year.
