The EU Joint Research Centre's MARS bulletin says winter crops in most of the European Union are in fair to good condition. Yield losses have occurred in parts of the EU but are more serious in eastern Ukraine, Morocco and Algeria.
Largely sound EU winter crops point to adequate European wheat and barley supply, while losses in Ukraine and North Africa could support import demand and prices.
