USDA FAS projects global soybean meal exports at a record 82 million metric tons in 2025/26, up 1%, marking a third straight record year. Growth is driven by expanded crushing in Brazil and the US and strong biofuel demand.
Soybean meal prices have fallen from about $550/t in November 2023 to about $300/t in July 2025.
Ample global supply and record trade keep meal prices low and affordable for feed buyers, though growing import demand from Indonesia, Iran, the EU, Vietnam and Mexico provides some support.
