Indonesia plans to shift more domestic palm oil into biodiesel as it moves its mandate from B40 to B50 by the second half of next year. Gapki chairman Eddy Martono said prices could reach 5,000 ringgit per tonne in January-June if the policy proceeds.
Reduced export availability from the top producer would tighten global palm supply and support vegetable oil prices, with knock-on effects for feed fats and substitute oils.
