The rally was fueled by war-driven crude and diesel gains and proposed US biofuel mandates that would raise biomass-based diesel requirements in 2027 by 60% from 2025.
November soybean futures neared $11.80 per bushel in late April, close to a two-year high.
Biofuel-driven soy oil demand is lifting soybean prices, offsetting weakness from large South American supplies. The sustainability of this support depends on mandate implementation and possible increases in US soybean acreage.
